This is my second time using Downey Car Care Center for my vehicle needs!!!! My car was bought from a second hand dealer. Knowing this I knew the risk that my car would not be 100% and that there may be issues down the line. The problem that brought me back had to do with my radiator hose. At the end of may my radiator hose disconnected which caused my car to overheat. My husband was able to put back on the hose and filled my radiator back up. My car sensors never indicated that something was worng with my engine or radiator so i payed no mind. On Friday 10/9/2020 my radiator hose poped off agian and this time i made an appointment with Downey Car Care Center. I was able to get a next day appointment. I really was not thinking that this would be expensive just a simple switch of my radiator hose and a needed oil change. Again my husband reattached the hose and filled my radiator. The next day I drove my car down to get fixed, but on my way my car overheated. I luckily made it to the shop where I was greeted by Hiram, im not sure what he was doing prior to me getting there but the auto shop was packed and he stopped whatever he was doing and started looking at my car. He told me he had seen this before and it could be an indicator of engine damage. This was devestating becuase i knew it might not be worth to fix my car. Hiram told me that before they start anything they would do an extensive inspection of my engine amd call me when they found the problem. He immediately got one of his mechanics to start the process. Hiram called me an hour or so later and told me that there had been no engine damage but that my radiator and hose needed to be replaced. He also recommended but was not necessary to replace my water pump and timing belt. The total for everything was quoted $1812. I was a bit shell shocked but i needed my car. Hiram told me that he would keep me updated. About an hour before they closed for the day Hiram called me back with great news i did not need to replace my water pump and that the price whent down dramtically. This is why i will continue to come back until the day i die. The people here care about their customers they are not in it for the money and will only tell you what you need not what they can get out of you. I payed a lot less then what i thought and they never took advantage of me becuase I am a women or my situation!!!! I would recomend to everyone to come to this auto shop becuase they truly put their customers first!!!!!!!! Please give your business to this shop becuase they are worth it!!!!!!!
